iFR vs FFR DEFINE-FLAIR LAD Sub-Study
Details
iFR vs FFR LAD sub-study of DEFINE-FLAIR explores the clinical outcomes of patients deferred from PCI using either index.
The study shows that the event rate in the LAD was significantly higher when using FFR compared to iFR (5.46% vs 2.44%, p=0.04) to defer revascularisation. No differences were seen in the Cx and RCA. These differences are likely to be explained by differences in flow as described by Dr Christopher Cook here http://bit.ly/iFRvsFFR-Flow.
